After graduating from college with triple grade distinctions in Music Technology, I began writing, arranging, mixing and producing music for local acoustic, rock, metal and pop artists.

In 2011, I became the jingle writer for Stafford FM, creating the station’s theme, show openers and bespoke music beds for advertisers during its rebuild and relaunch, as well as assisting in the reconstruction of the studios. I continued producing for local artists and performing as a guitarist for original bands, weddings and events.

After two neck surgeries and a course of radiotherapy I took a break from music and explored other ventures. My creative drive remained, and PoundSound was born as a place to channel that energy and to help others on their creative paths.

My journey has not been linear. Living with ADHD, dyslexia and autistic traits, alongside various health challenges, has shaped both my outlook and creative process. These experiences influence the way I communicate and design my work, focusing on clarity, accessibility and practicality. I aim to make information easy to digest so other creatives can save time, avoid frustration and stay inspired.

Over time, my commissioned and self-released works have spanned a variety of formats including DVDs, adverts, games, podcasts, promotional videos and online content for various companies and projects.

PoundSound exists to collect the skills I have learned and to share them in ways that help others. I understand how overwhelming information can become when you are trying to get something finished. My priority is to offer simple, practical solutions that let creators spend more time being creative.

I do not aim for spectacle. I aim to help people make honest progress and to build a sustainable creative life. I hope to encourage others and to inspire fellow creatives to keep pursuing what they enjoy. I am always open to learning and to new collaborations.
